My nephew, Spencer. I adore this little guy. From the moment I held him when he was just days old, he melted my heart. When I did his newborn session, he was the most uncooperative little guy! Not gonna lie, to this day, his newborn session was the most difficult I have ever done. Which is laughable now, because he is the most easy going, chill, happy go lucky little fella you’ve ever met.
In true third born fashion, he hasn’t had quite as many photo sessions with Auntie Joy as his older siblings have had. I’ve snapped photos here and there, definitely ones worthy of hanging on the wall. But we have tried for a very long time to do a dedicated session just for him. This week we made it happen! And he was such a stinker!!!! He couldn’t understand why we were corralling him to a little spot in front of a window. He wanted free reign of my house (like he usually has) and convincing him to be still for photos was not going to happen, thankfully my trigger finger is trained for fast moving toddlers!
Normally I like to do my sessions on location, outdoors. But when it is a high of 9 degrees, you kind of have to adjust 😉


I would also like to say, Spencer is my new social media manager. He is a pro! How do babies know how to use iphones these days?! Well, this one does and he wasn’t giving it back to me. So I thought I would just put him to work.
He couldn’t figure out why his mama handed him a big round lollipop, so he promptly threw it on the ground, shattering it into a hundred pieces. Then he was happy, hence the broken lollipop pics!
