Best of 2015 | Chicago Newborn Photography

In January of every year, I always think about how much of the coming year is stretched out before me. January is typically a quiet month for me, time to catch up, make little changes in how I operate my business and update websites and galleries. I am so thankful for the down time, to charge up for the year ahead and time think about the previous year.
I met so many beautiful babies this year! So many wonderful parents and fun newborn sessions. This year I welcomed a new nephew and a new niece to the family. Gorgeous babies that are growing too quickly. I love seeing their personalities develop and Auntie Joy can’t get enough snuggles from her babies.

I tried something new this Summer. Something that I’ve wanted to try for years…An underwater maternity session for my sister. I am a huge fan of the water, have loved being a certified scuba diver and am always jumping at the chance to experiment with underwater photography. Our 10 foot deep pool allowed for me to test my underwater photography skills, and I am dying to invest in an underwater camera. I need more tropical destinations on my calendar! Until then, I have just a few months out of the year in Chicago land to use our pool as a testing grounds for my underwater photography endeavors!
